LM Story

Every year there is an historic event on the Le Mans ‘Grands Rendez-Vous' calendar. LM Story is organised on the Bugatti circuit between the Le Mans Classic meetings (a fabulous retrospective held in even-numbered years).
While LM Story holds events for Le Mans cars of the past (GTs and prototypes) the Formula is different from Le Mans Classic as the LM Story programme includes races for single-seaters including authentic historic F1s.
In addition to the 2-litre prototypes and Group IV cars that added to the greater glory of the 24 Hours' legend in the 60s and 70s, races for F1, F2, Classic F3s and Formula Fords have been held plus events for the Monomils, Maxi 1000s and Saloon Cars.
Chanteloup-les-Vignes Hill Climb meeting

The Chanteloup-les-Vignes Hill Climb - first hill climb organized in the world - proceeded, for the first time, November 27, 1898 on the initiative of Mr Paul Meyan, editor of «La France Automobile».
It was disputed in 1898 and 1899 at a distance of 1782 meters, its slope representing a percentage of almost 10% on more than 600 meters and of almost 6% on the others 1100 meters, it thus acted of a very difficult coast.
Its organization was stopped until in 1926, date on which it was taken again on the initiative and under the aegis of the Automobile Club de l'Ile de France, but over a 1200 meters length only with one varying percentage of 3.6% with 10%.
The race took place regularly every year, except in 1932 when the too bad condition of the roadway prevented its organisation.
The last edition of the race took place in 1935, the A.C.I.F. in stopped the organization following the too many accidents which have occurred in the various hill climbs during 1934 and 1935.
